Tuxedo Shirts

Stylish men and women know that to distinguish themselves, they have to incorporate tuxedo shirts every now and then in their wardrobe. Tuxedo shirts make you stand out and allow you to create a personal style that will boost your overall image. Often, tuxedo shirts are perceived as an extreme essential for black tie events. To this effect, it would be extremely prudent for you to own some; they are guaranteed to slay your fashion look a great deal.

Tuxedo shirts supplement a well-fitting tuxedo shirt and as such, one should incorporate due diligence when choosing a tuxedo shirt to go with the tuxedo suit. What’s more, tuxedo shirts can be worn by both men and women – they are unisex – exquisite right? With this in mind, small tuxedo shirts exist for infant baby boys and girls. With the illustrious demeanor that comes with wearing a tuxedo supplemented with a tuxedo shirt, one has to be increasingly prudent when choosing a tuxedo shirt. Here are the nitty-gritty details you need to look out for when choosing a tuxedo shirt;

The Collar

Tuxedo shirts offer a variety of collar styles, you just have to choose that which works best for you. There is the president spread type of collar which is pretty much the same type of collar exhibited in dress shirts. This works well with both a bow tie and a tie as well. The president spread collar is also similar the English spread collar but the English spread is a bit smaller compared to the president spread. Tuxedo shirts also manifest wing collar types; rocking a bowtie with a wing tip collar shirt is always a winner.

The Front

This is an essential creativity platform for all tuxedo shirts. Some love a plain front in their tuxedo shirts which is very okay. Often people who don’t love much detail in their tuxedo shirts would go for a plain pleated tuxedo shirt. Consequently, some tuxedo shirts have their fronts pleated. Pleats on tuxedo shirts might be ¼, 1/2 or completely pleated.

If and when you decide to wear a pleated tuxedo shirt, remember to only rock a bowtie and dispense with the use of a straight necktie. This distinguishes the men from the boys. The front of a tuxedo shirt can also be upstyled with a bow tie or a neck tie.

The Color Of Your Tuxedo Shirt

The stereotype that you must rock a white tuxedo shirt is long done with. Tuxedo shirts are of many colors and patterns to help you have a versatile look. To this effect, you can choose a black, white or checked shirt with dark fabrics to make you look very exquisite. Isn’t fashion interesting since we can carefully experiment with it in many instances?

The Fabric

This is a very important aspect of a tuxedo shirt. Most tuxedo shirts should be broadcloth. This is the A fabric with twills also presents a tuxedo shirt exquisitely. You can also choose a tuxedo shirt with a royal oxford fabric. Royal oxfords as the name suggest give you an imperial aura; one that guarantees to make you look stylish.

The Cuffs

There is the French cuff style which is pretty much the same cuff style exemplified in dress shirts, and there is the one and two button barrel exemplified specifically in tuxedo shirts. Always wear cufflinks when gracing a formal event.

The Size

This should probably have been at the top of this list as it is a very important aspect when choosing tuxedo shirts. Choose a tuxedo shirt that fits you well, one that doesn’t cause any billowing whatsoever. The only way to do this is to now your shirt size and make sure you double check it before buying a shirt.
