For a brief history on the classic tunic, we take you back to their origin in 2000 B.C. This is where tunics were first discovered in Egypt and where they were used to cover up the upper part of the body. While in the past Egyptians used to wear tunic with a garment known as a schenti, in modern times the tunic is worn with pretty much everything (except skirts). As a result, casual tunics are available in many colors to fulfill the casual and off-the-cuff role.

Domestic tunics on the other hand, have less flare and are rather classic compared to casual tunics. Most domestic tunics are plain and only differ in color and size. Domestic tunics as their name suggests, are often worn in working environments such as in our homes, hotels, restaurants and more. The domestic roles they fulfill may include housekeeping, as well as relaxing in doors. When worn for housekeeping uniform purposes, tunics can be classified in the uniforms section as most masters lend tunics to their house helps who take part in housekeeping.
